Behind strong girls thee are strong mothers... we visited 6 girls (in German) and describe their lifestories.
In one case we need to support the whole family: Mekdes is a 14 yrs old girl in grade 9. She is a great performer at school, reaching at 97%! She lives with her mother and 6 brothers and sisters in a small room, threatened by the landlord to leave the room because of an unaffordable rental increase. The father left the family as an alcoholic. "I lost hope, but because of Live, Love & Learn (EDGET) I now have a future. I want to become a doctor in future." EDGET supports only her at the present moment but wished we could give the whole family support. During my project visit I saw where help is needed. all in all 6 touching stories.
